2022 NATIONAL COORDINATOR

Vivien Whyte (she/her)

Kia ora koutou katoa, my name is Viv Whyte. I’m a fourth year student at the University of Auckland and when it comes to the pursuit of social justice, I’m super passionate and outspoken. Within this, I have a vested interest in international feminism and the elimination of sexual violence.

Everyone has right to feel safe on campus but unfortunately this is not the reality. Negative attitudes about sexuality, victim-blaming, lack of support and rape culture all contribute to sexual harm as a society problem manifesting in our tertiary spaces.

I truly believe in TIB’s kaupapa and the potential it has as a national movement to bring about change. I’m excited to see what 2022 holds and am committed to making tertiary institutions a safe space for students to thrive in.

I am always open for a kōrero - please get in touch.
